Apple is live streaming the release of it’s very anticipated iPhone six today, among other fresh items that have the tech world up in arms.
The company has chosen to live stream the event at noon central time today.
Evidently, the stream is only available for streaming if you’re running Safari browser.
There’s been a lot of speculation around the event. AL.com’s David Magee posted yesterday on the subject.
12:15: The stream is overdubbed in Chinese and everyone is having a hard time watching it.
12:20: If you’re running Chrome and have VLC Player installed, you may be able to paste this URL into your browser and make it work: http://p.events-delivery.apple.com.edgesuite.net/14pijnadfpvkjnfvpijhabdfvpijbadfv09/m3u8/atv_mvp.m3u8

What can we expect?
Unveiling of the iPhone 6:
If there’s one place that the rumors agree, it’s that larger screen sizes will be available. This is a significant departure from iPhone tradition, which has, until now, remained committed to a four inch screen.
Screen sizes of Four.7 and Five.Five inches are also expected to be available, as TechCrunch reported back in March.
The iPhone six might also feature the iconic light-up Apple on its back to match your MacBook. So there will be no mistaking your iPhone for some bimbo Android competitor.
The plastic LED apple is not just a novelty, however, there has been some speculation that it will help wireless signals pass more lightly in and out of the iPhone.
For the geeks, there are also expected to be upgrades to the internal hardware as well, including better wireless connectivity and a lightning-fast processor.
As I reported on a duo of weeks ago, applications and hardware integrating healthcare are becoming big business. Apple’s iOS eight is expected to have a built-in instrument for developers called HealthKit, which provides a platform for measuring and reporting health data.
TechCrunch also reported a few days ago, that the fresh iOS eight may budge the bar on mobile payments. Like I talked about in a post last month, mobile POS systems are in flux and on the rise at the moment.
Check out the iWatch! Fresh wearable technology:
The iWatch (if it’s called that) will likely be integrated with the HealthKit platform I mentioned above. It will be tooled to report heart rate and activity data back to your fresh and larger iPhone six as well as receive notifications back about missed calls and text messages and guilt trips for that gigantic cupcake you just ate alone in your cubicle.
Of course, they’re a bit late to the game, with Pebble and Android Wear having already released similar wearable technology, but Apple likes to take its time with its devices and we can be assured that Apple will have something fresh and possibly revolutionary to add to this seemingly inescapable technology.
There’s also swirling rumors about the possibility of a fresh iPad Air two and some upgrades to Mac OS X. We’ll see if those come to pass.
Go observe the live stream of the iPhone six release today!
