Why Won’t Snapchat Zoom on an iPhone 4s?

So, over the last several days many Snapchat users have contacted me to let me know that zoom no longer works on photos or movies with the newest May two thousand fifteen update. I am able to pinch to zoom with my iPhone 5s before recording a movie and while recording a movie. I would imagine that the iPhone 4s is fighting because the Snapchat team worked with the modern iPhones such as the iPhone six and the iPhone six Plus.

If you have an iPhone four or iPhone 4s are you having trouble zooming on Snapchat? I would love to know. Please feel free to comment below if you are having this issue. I have been dazed with Snapchat texts lately but I will do my best.

I am positive Snapchat will be aware of this very quickly. I have not seen or heard of any problems with the Android versions of Snapchat but it would not surprise me if there are some zoom issues there as well. As soon as there is another Snapchat update to improve the zoom feature I will be sure to let you know.

Yea I have an iPhone 4s and can zoom on pictures, but not on movies. I used to not get filters, but I deleted the app and when I redownloaded it, they were there. I still can’t zoom on movies tho’, It is very fraustrating.

I can zoom in when I’m on the camera but when I take the picture it goes back to normal! I can’t zoom in movies either, it indeed gargles. Glad to know I’m not alone. Hopefully snapchat fixes this! Fortunately I have the face filters!

I know it’s been three years since this has been published, but I am still hoping that @jessewojdylo will still be willing to help me with my snap talk problem on zooming in with my iPhone 4s

Yeah I have that problem too. I can zoom in for photo (as long as it’s back camera) and have all the face filter stuff, but in movies even after looking up and attempting how it’s said, I got nothing!! I hope SC fixes this!! ��

Mine won’t work and I’m very upset because I was able to do it on my iPod five an now it doesn’t work snapchat should update so the 5s’s and Lower can have this capability

Since this fresh update I can’t zoom on photos and I still can’t zoom on movies. I think this problem needs to be addressed by the snapchat team, I have an iphone4s and I don’t think it’s very fair to be concentrating on the newer version of the iPhone, they should make the fresh updates just as good to work on the iPhone4’s as well .

I also have the iPhone 4S… I can zoom when it’s in my camera roll and I could zoom on snapchat photos before…never movies…and after the update I cannot zoom on my snapchat photos or movies.

Hi everyone, I have an iPhone 4s and when I very first updated my snapchat, it didn’t let me zoom in on pictures. But then a fresh update came on my App Store which was to do with bug fixes. So I updated snapchat again and now I can zoom in on pictures but not movies yet. So hopefully a bug fix update with come up again so it will let me zoom in on movies. Hope this helped.

I can zoom for pictures but if I hold the button down for longer than a picture, it knows I’m gonna embark to videotape, and then it will go back to how I originally began without the zoom! #TheStruggleIsReal

I think it’s because the screen is to petite. For ipod5 and iPhone5 you can zoom in cause there thicker but iPhone4s have a petite screen

Huh. I thought I was the only one, too. I have an iPhone 4S and my snapchat won’t zoom, even however I’ve done the update and everything. I dunno how to fix it.

I have gotten every single update for snapchat! Even the little bug fixes and improvements. I can zoom on normal photos on snapchat. Albeit when I zoom in right before I make a movie it goes into its original form all over again! Albeit, I have to admit as much as us iPhone 4s users hate to hear it; we are the uncommon breed with very few left of us out their hence the fact snapchat is continuously working with Five’s, 5s’, 6’s, and 6Plus’ in order for the capability “improvements” to work better and more effectively for the majority of iPhone users with the latest iPhones.
