Yes. GoToMeeting is still available to connect to your Meetings apps, but it is no longer the default movie talk provider. All movie talks now connect with emerge.in.

As a Citrix company it is odd you are moving away from Gotomeeting. Can you explain why you made the switch instead of working with the Gotomeeting team to resolve any issues you have with the platform?

Hey Jeremy – good question! We still support GoToMeeting however the “no-login” practice we have used in the past has been moved to a fresh platform and requires login in the fresh version: https://free.gotomeeting.com/

As we like to also suggest a movie client in Podio talk with one click and without extra login, we have added show up.in as well.

GoToMeeting will still have a Free version, but users will need to login to embark a movie call 🙂 I hope this helps explain the background. We still very much support GoToMeeting, ShareFile and other products in the Citrix family.

Just as Jeremy mentioned…it seems kind of weird to go from integrating with one of your parent company’s core products to integrating with a virtually unknown (relatively speaking) service.

Why not either roll the cost of GoToMeeting into the Podio subscription or at least suggest the option to upgrade to movie conferencing on Podio via GoToMeeting? I think that the option for Google Hangouts would have even been a better substitute.

I can’t help but to question your product manager’s (or whoever signed off on this) logic behind this budge.

Also, this has been in place for almost a month (to my skill)…why just now announce it?

I can’t help but to read inbetween the lines and wonder if this is the beginning of a puny crack in the foundation of Podio’s future.

We are still integrating with GoToMeeting and their main platform. As extra background Citrix announced in November two thousand fifteen that they will be spinning off the GoToMeeting product line in a separate company, and therefore, later this year, the GoTo product line will no longer be a member of the Citrix products.

You’re right! We did announce the fresh integration in-product and via our product news section in the Community on May twenty six as we went live. The product news section is our main channel for communicating updates: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/200077273-Product-News

The main purpose for our blog is to communicate the value and different use of Podio (here as real-time collaboration and virtual meetings with your team in one click) and share stories from playmates and customers – the stories will be collective further via social and our newsletter. We want to recommend good ideas for using Podio better, and be more productive in your work life, regardless of the instruments you use. For fresh updates on product, the Community section is usually the best place to go after 🙂

Nosey to hear if you had a chance to test the integration yet?

Sara, thank you SO much for always being so quick to react and always being such a good sport 😉

I have had a chance to test it and it works well. As I mentioned in my post…if you guys are detaching the native GoTo functionality…why not consider Google Hangouts, Skype, etc? I know it is lighter said than done.

I truly appreciate the clarity. I think that I (like many others) rely on Podio as the central OS for my business…and get a little worried when fresh like this pops up.

One thing that would be superb is a public roadmap for Podio development so we all can see what is coming down the pipe. Is that possible?

You’re very welcome. Emerge.in is very close in functionality and practice as the GTM Free version we connected to prior, furthermore they have very user friendly and free API (https://developer.show up.in/) we can benefit from. There are tons of options in the market as you mention but we do think their product has a lot of potential – and they are from Norway, which is very cool 🙂

As Citrix is a public traded company we are presently not in a position to share a public roadmap however we do want to be more open in the future related to product development efforts. Specifically we want to be semi-transparent on the direction and topics we are working towards, rather than committing to specific features that might switch in an agile development process.

In general we have a different concentrate areas this year. One example is to drive even more advanced workflows for our customers, another one is to integrate closer with ShareFile and RightSignature as a part of Citrix, and a third concentrate area is core improvements to Podio as a platform (as example the enhancements on filtering and reports we released a few weeks back).

We welcome the addition of an easy-to-use meeting service. Since GTM has been more cumbersome than alternatives, we have not used the integration.

Now we wish we could switch standard apps into event apps. Anybody know if this is possible?

Good question, for now the only way is to create a fresh event app. If needed you can then import old events to the fresh app using excel import!

I have an account muốn podico . I would use the very reasonable

Where is the GoToMeeting Free integration with Podio? GoToMeeting Free is no longer suggested as a service that can be integrated with ones Podio account essentially removing the capability for a Podio user to embark a meeting and have all the call-in details seamlessly integrated into the meeting notes.

Its become amazingly inconvenient to use Podio for businesses that want things quick and convenient. Alternatives like Redbooth, Mavenlink and even Trello are joy, effortless to use and always up to date.

Classic Bait-n-switch. This platform is a submerging ship.

Have you even attempted using emerge.in in a real world meeting? Its like using Crayons to draw professional architectural blueprints. I’ll spare you the details and sum it up in three plain words.

If Citrix/Podio keeps not providing customers what they want/need/would like, you’ll just keep loosing and soon wont have any. Online collaborative platforms aren’t like Server software markets, there are many many choices and customers will switch in Fresh York minute because Podio is has been/kicking off to suck.

Hi Seviant! GoToMeeting Free has moved to a fresh platform to require login for all calls, therefore we determined to stir to a fresh free movie implement to make sure you can still join a movie call without having to login to outer service.
